At this point, there is only 4 months left of the school year. Second semester came in full swing. It is much more difficult and requires much more things to do than in the first semester. In the first semester, the biggest task was submitting all the college applications on time. Now, second semester is when college hits like a head-on collision. Everyone is completing the FAFSA and applying to tons of scholarships. More importantly, everyone is hearing responses from colleges causing butterflies to take flight in my stomach. I have been accepted admission to two colleges so far. One of those being my reasonable and probable school. Yet I still get nervous hearing that other people didn’t get accepted into their #1 choice college. I’m most likely to attend CSU Bakersfield but I would have wanted to leave this area. I will be separating from my mom to live in a dorm. So yes, I would be leaving to a bigger city but it’s not the same as moving to the coast or up North. The main thing is to get the higher education so the city shouldn’t matter.
I decided to do early completion for the Senior Exit Interview. I was extremely nervous but got through it and passed with a 4. It feels good to have that out of the way and taken care of. Now I can focus on panicking about my classes. I was able to catch up and finish all of my classes on time the first semester and I will make sure the same occurs this final semester. I have actually been on top of my work. It feels extremely weird. I am so used to worrying about how I need to finish loads of assignments for my classes. I would just watch Netflix while I stressed on the thought of having to do them and wait until the last minute to complete them. Now I actually have time to relax and watch Netflix without stressing. Still, I stress because I feel as if I have work to do.
I am actually so excited and looking forward to leaving high school. I’ve met so many wonderful and amazing people and I will miss them dearly. All of my close friends want to do something different. They want to go to different colleges and study different things. I am already looking forward to catch up with each other on the holidays. Until then, I wish to spend as much time with them as possible. I only want to go to Grad Nite to be with my friends. Being in Disneyland is a plus. My family and I go yearly, so it won’t be a huge deal for me. Plus, I just feel it’s really expensive to go since most parts of the park will be closed. My mom did not want me to go seeing that we go often. She let me because we saved $300+ on the class ring. Well, I ordered a ring. Then I canceled my order because I wasn’t completely satisfied with it, and wasn’t willing to pay so much for something I wasn’t happy with. So with that money, I am able to attend grad nite and still have money left for other expenses.
